The Stone's Story

Amazonite has been worn for over three thousand years. The ancient Egyptians carved it into amulets and scarabs, and pieces were found in the tomb of Tutankhamun, including parts of his famous death mask. Mesopotamian cultures prized it too. For much of its history it was known as the Stone of Courage and the Stone of Truth.

Formed Over Millions of Years

A variety of feldspar, Amazonite forms over millions of years deep within granite and pegmatite as mineral-rich magma cools slowly. Its blue-green color comes from trace amounts of lead and water in the crystal. It is found in the United States, Russia, Brazil, Madagascar, and Ethiopia.

How to Wear & Care

Amazonite is a softer stone, so treat it gently and avoid knocking it against hard surfaces. To cleanse, wipe it with a soft damp cloth or rest it on a windowsill overnight. Keep it out of prolonged direct sun, which can fade the color, and avoid harsh chemicals.

XS fits wrists under 5 inches. S fits 5 to 6 inches. M fits 6 to 7 inches. L fits 7 to 8 inches. XL fits 8 to 9 inches.
