Malachite
Transformation · Protection · Courage
Malachite is the stone of real change, the kind you have to walk through something difficult to reach. It is for shedding an old version of yourself and finding the nerve to step into what comes next.
Its deep green moves in bands and swirls, each bead patterned like the rings of a tree or the eye of a storm. No other stone wears its history so visibly on the surface.
Available in 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm round beads. This listing is for a single bracelet.
The Stone's Story
The Egyptians mined malachite as early as 4000 BCE and called their paradise the Field of Malachite. They ground it into eye paint worn by royalty, believing it warded off evil and sharpened divine sight. Roman generals carried it as a battlefield talisman, and the Tsars of Russia lined entire palace rooms with it. Across all of these cultures it stood for one thing: transformation.
Formed Over Millions of Years
Malachite forms near the earth's surface over thousands to millions of years, where copper-rich waters react with stone and deposit its green in layered bands. It is found in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia's Ural Mountains, Australia, and Arizona.
How to Wear & Care
Never cleanse malachite with water. It contains copper and can release harmful substances when wet, so keep it dry at all times. To cleanse, rest it in moonlight or pass it gently through incense smoke, and wipe it only with a dry cloth. Handle it with care, as it is a softer stone.
