The Stone's Story

Moonstone is the sacred stone of India, where Hindu legend held it was set in the forehead of the moon god and its Sanskrit name means the moon's lover. The Romans believed it was made of solidified moonbeams and saw the goddess Diana within it. Across India, Rome, and Europe it has always been the stone of the divine feminine and of intuition.

Formed Over Millions of Years

A variety of feldspar, moonstone forms over millions of years as the stone cools slowly into fine internal layers, and it is the way light moves between those layers that creates its drifting glow. The finest comes from Sri Lanka, with deposits also in India, Myanmar, and Madagascar.

How to Wear & Care

Wear it daily or stack it with other stones. To cleanse, hold it briefly under cool running water or rest it in the light of the full moon overnight. Avoid harsh chemicals, and handle it gently, as it is a softer stone.

XS fits wrists under 5 inches. S fits 5 to 6 inches. M fits 6 to 7 inches. L fits 7 to 8 inches. XL fits 8 to 9 inches.
