Rudraksha
Sacred · Protection · Devotion
Rudraksha is among the most sacred beads in the world, worn for meditation, prayer, and protection for thousands of years. It is for those who want their practice on their wrist, a daily anchor for the spirit.
Each bead is a natural seed, deep brown and textured with fine ridges and grooves the tree formed on its own. No two are identical, and that natural imperfection is part of their meaning.
Available in 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm beads. This listing is for a single bracelet.
The Stone's Story
In Hindu tradition, Rudraksha beads are the tears of Lord Shiva, wept out of compassion for all living beings, and where they fell, the first Rudraksha trees grew. To wear them is to carry the blessing of Shiva himself. For at least two thousand years, named in the ancient Vedic texts, saints and seekers have counted them in prayer and meditation.
From a Sacred Tree
Rudraksha are not stones but seeds, gathered from the fruit of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus, a tall evergreen of the Himalayan foothills. Each seed takes a full year to ripen. The finest come from Nepal, with others from India and Indonesia. The natural facets on each bead, called mukhi, carry their own meaning in Hindu tradition.
How to Wear & Care
Keep Rudraksha dry, as these are natural seeds. Do not soak them. Wipe gently with a dry cloth, and occasionally condition them with a drop of natural oil to keep them from drying out. Cleanse in moonlight or with incense smoke rather than water, and store somewhere dry.
